Nobody but time is the best healer/teacher.......
I heard this quote for long. But this seem to be the only truth of my life.
For the last almost 2 years, my life was towards preparing for seeing a major change in my view towards life i.e. going to a b-school for management degree. All that time my mind was preoccupied with the things like GMAT prep, then researching schools, then applications, then interviews and most difficult of all coping with the time waiting for final decision.
Now when I look back, I can't believe myself riding through this difficult time. As they say, "its a journey inwards"...how true. I got to know many areas for improvement for me, most of all I learnt how to deal with failures and take feedback. Amazing things happened....
The most amazing thing that has happened yet is of all the b-school (US & India) admits, I have made the decision to join ISB Class of 2011. It just happened to be the most beneficial choice at this point in life.
I am soooo looking forward to the day of landing at campus. The fellow classmates I have met yet make it even more interesting a voyage for me. In the alumni I saw many like minded and like profile-d people, increasing my confidence for success.
I am a dead believer of the quote "One is as good as the his/her surroundings".
I am already feeling the effect of studying with the liveliest, craziest and funkiest crowd at one of the top (ranked 12 business school) of the WORLD!
ending my post with these words....really no words apart from this news....fully sunk into it nowadays
will gain consciousness soon to get deep into MBA studies.

Thought provoking quotes.....1

Humor is merely tragedy standing on its head with its pants torn.
And there goes my favorite....

Things need preperations....
Nobody in the world can be that busy to write on a blog, but nowadays I am :). But don't worry I am in for this.
Anyways lets not get dragged from the topic. So ya, every damn undamn thing needs preparation.
Be it a small shop in town preparing early(iest) morning to live upto the expectations of its customers (however small number that be) to President preparing for a speech. What I mean to say is thinking of embarking into a new, seemingly higher returns and easy field, will soon need much of one's time, ofcourse opposite to their expectations. Now this links with why everybody (atleast Paulo Coelho) says do what you love coz if you do what you love you will have absolutely no intentions to flinch to go that extra step (most of work will seem be extra steps :)).
Making decisions is like giving urself a direction, if you headed wrong, you will reach wrong destination for sure. Sometimes it seems like shooting a target in dark, an exact analogy to making decisions. But, it feels good to know that even if you are headed into wrong direction and you eventually fail, you still have a good learning to draw from that experience and THATS WHATS VALUED! You should be man enough to admit your mistakes.
Guys, You know what is worse than a loser, a man who doesn't want to hear why he lost!
Screwing up life's an art too, remember movie called 21, its lucky to have everything screwed up in ones life. Guy ends up getting fellowship @ Harvard Medical School.
So in a nut shell, don't feel bad about your bad experiences, they too have a good side like everything else. Make a note of what you faced and hence learned.
Be optimistic and save yourself a lifelong misery! coz thats the way cookie crumbles.

frank enough...
My story nowadays is taking new and unexpected turns everyday...I am being made to do a lot better than what I do (in the right sense, ofcourse)...surely this is gonna happen for something gud only...let me be more specific...being a semiconductor professional I was way far from application language stuff, until recently when I took charge of making a software on VB...which interestingly made me realise how bad I can be in the stuff I thought was easy...so anyhow life's taking interesting turns...and this is what I am gonna talk about in this post.
Recently, I attended the 9th IDC (India Design Center) Technical Symposium, flagship of Freescale India. It was my first one at freescale and frankly it's not just about techincal stuff there...its also about being part of the family and understanding the issues customers and other teams face and what all solution they could think of. I find it a very useful way of spreading the word and enhance personal learnings by adding onto your own experiences. Moreover, its common for almost all companies that employees not directly involved with customer have NO IDEA about what the end application will be on the Chip they make. Knowing this part of the world, they can ofcourse make better chips, thus make customers happy.
I'll not bore you with more of the technical talks :D, so moving on...
I cannot understand that how people forget their early age passions. As they grow up, they tend to forget the old passions of their lives and grow new passions in life.
You know what I totally disagree with this behavior...time to time my actions have shown my interest in pursuing my "old passions" till the end...like I was passionate about motorbikes. I used to think when I earn, I'll buy a high tech bike... and I did, though everybody was against this decision...but I wasn't as my dream of riding power bikes was (is) still not fulfilled.
Another step I took towards this was buying a Vintage TV video game...I remembered how fun it used to be...on a weekend I invited my cousins over to play doubles in Contra, Mario Bros, Adventure Island and sooo many...
I have noticed that whatever initiative one takes, the first reaction from people is to oppose it, but what makes someone stand out and successful, is building trust in the idea.
As always life moves on and it feels really good to go back in old times and do things that one could not do earlier.

Revisiting expectations and dreams I had 1 year back
I welcome u all guys back...
Recently I completed my 1 year at Freescale Semiconductors. This post is about the things in that period.
As a distant objective third person, who is neither involved nor in any way benefited in any association, I believe Freescale is a great company in terms of ethics, employee friendliness and so many other factors.
Reason for my belief is one, in the bad times now a days which has gripped almost every company very tight, especially automotive segment, Freescale also had to take some hard decisions of laying off people, but instead of taking haywire decisions, they took smart and need of the time decisions to layoff good for nothing people (i am just repeting somebody elses words as i am not eligible to say anything about it). Second, they could have also managed to get rid of all the freshers (who joined us from undergraduate schools less than 6 months ago) as every other company is doing, but they didn't. While they shut down their wireless business unit called CPG, they promised every body will be absorbed in other teams within the company. This target seemed nothing more than wishful thinking, but at last leaving everybody surprised, they did absorb everybody (by everybody i mean really everybody from CPG).
I feel that what makes Freescale a great organization is that its people aren't pompous or pretentious, higher management shares actual happenings with each and every employee, which makes employees feel involved. The idea of making people feel involved is the foundation of great leadership, which I also follow in my team as I keep on sharing with them the various customer responses (good or bad) for their work and also timely appreciate by nominating them for awards.
Anyways now the storm has kinda settled down in Freescale, I can expect some good results out of their so called reorganization, but the automotive industry is still haunting the people working in it.
Lets see what is kept in it for us.
On a light note, I finished watching all 4 seasons of How I met your mother (HIMYM) (Season 4 is ongoing), now a days I have started watching The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) (Season 2 is ongoing), which I really liked. I wanna talk about it (TBBT) more, but in a different post.
Busy season is coming up, my post will be as soon as possible.

Akshardham, a breathtaking grandeur, beauty, wisdom and bliss
Heya guys,
This Sunday(yesterday) I visited Akshardham temple in Delhi and believe me now I regret not visiting it earlier..it was a great experience that I can never ever draw a comparison with anything in the world..
Let me tell you my experience....We (me along with my family) visited there @ around 3:40PM, parked the car and then got onto our feet. There is a list of soooooo many things that you can't carry inside that I think they would have saved money in listing the things allowed inside :).
Anyways, as always due to heavy security check at the Gate and the day being sunday, there was a long queue(separate queue for women and men). I reached inside, after waiting almost half an hour in the queue. I saw the first view of the temple from inside it just looked marvelous, such a great work of art and Indianism.
I went inside speechless to see more...I was then standing @ 10 doors entrance, symbolizing doors to all of the 10 directions. Then I saw various dwars and passed through them to see the main Temple view...god why did they take my camera...i felt if I had camera I would have definitely become a professional photographer taking sooo many stunningly beautiful captures.
I purchased tickets for hall of values show, the Movie show, the boat ride and the musical fountain from the counter...then entered the 1st stage of all i.e. Sahajanand Darshan (no point in telling, after standing in a queue), but it was worth waiting...it consisted of audio and robotic motion filled various stages and excerpts from life of Swaminarayan , I found it very interesting.
Then though the 2nd stage was Nilkanth yatra(i.e. the movie show), we entered the Sanskruti Vihar for the boat ride...the halls tag line was "10,000 years of old India’s glorious heritage in 10 minutes"....again in a queue...we started the journey of 10,000 years in the boat....there were the all the ancient accomplishments, establishment and also great people statues to teach us the great past of INDIAN history. There were examples from history like great institutions like Nalanda, great leader minds like Ramanujacharya (teacher for Vedanata).
Then we waited for the musical fountain as there is a particular time for it to be played. The musical fountain was another show of wonderful human imagination...the integration of music, water flow and the the lighting was out of world...unimaginable, inexpressible are the words for it.
We headed for some snacks after the show...then we entered the movie hall Nilkanth Yatra, it is a fact that what I was looking at is 85' x 65' ft gigantic screen....An epic period film featuring an exciting and inspiring pilgrimage of Neelkanth Varni, a child-yogi, of 18th century India, was being played. It helped me understand all the aspects of the story told in 1st stage
After the movie we went to see the main Temple from inside. It's huge and has beautiful marble handwork allover its walls. It has a tall statue of Swaminarayan in the middle of the temple and has all the god, goddess pairs circling it from within the temple. we read sooo many good sayings by Swaminarayan.
Frankly it left me wanting more and a feel of visiting such a peaceful and wonderful place once again...I hope to visit there again sometime...
